Anyone that knows those great bluegrass songs or for a matter of fact likes bluegrass at all is okay in my book. I love "Long Black Veil" first recored by Lefty Frizell. I sing that song myself all the time. The best version I think is the live version from "Gillian Welch & David Rawlings" "It was ten years ago on a cold dark night" I have to say nothing like bit of good old "Corn Liquor" to wake you up in the morning. LoL That should help us try and forget the fact we are going to relive the depression of the 1930's

Re: Tasty Eats During Tough Times

We got it off YouTube, I can't remember the singer, but it's my favorite parody song ever! Except maybe Wierd Al's "Amish Paradise"

Re: Tasty Eats During Tough Times

Photos from the Red Bull Soapbox race
http://flickr.com/photos/goma/sets/721576082619...

btw... a big fan here

Re: Tasty Eats During Tough Times

what was the top ramen song that Leo started the show with and where can I find it?

Caz

Re: Tasty Eats During Tough Times

I used to work for Southern Pacific Railroad and traveled around the western US inspecting track and other structures. We had a route that we followed and quite often stayed at the same places. Your comment about feeding at the happy hour trough reminded me of a contest a buddy and I had once.

Part of our criteria of where we would stay would be knowing what staff would upgrade our rooms. Another set of criteria was who had the best complimentary breakfasts and/or happy hours.

One week (Sunday night to Friday afternoon), we decided to see who could spend the least amount of money on food by hitting all the free breakfasts and happy hours. Having no shame, I didn't even buy a drink all week and spent only 25 cents all week. The 25 cents was for a pack of gum (this was around 1994).
